The hydrocyclone consists of upper barrel and lower cone, non-sports separation equipment. The separation principle is centrifugal sedimentation. The to be separated liquid-solid mixture (two phases (or three phases) mixed liquid) is forced for rotational motion from the surrounding into the hydrocyclone. Because of the different centrifugal force,  centripetal buoyancy, drag force and so on, the solid particles in the mixture overcome the hydraulic resistance and move into the wall, also because of its own gravity, and then the solid particles are spiral downward along the wall. Most of water and small particles because of small  centrifugal force, just make rotational motion together with mixture without close to the wall. In the drive of Subsequent feeding, the partical size of solid from the center to wall is bigger and bigger, which forms a layer mode. And with the mixture moving from the upper barrel to the lower cone, the cross section of flow is smaller and smaller. Under the force of outer mixture, the inner mixture including of a large number of fine particles (or light phase) have to change to move up, and discharge form overflow pipe. The most coarse particles (or heavy phase) go on moving spiral down along the wall, and discharge from underflow outlet as grit.
